The root diameter distribution graph displays the length, area, volume, or number of root tips based on root diameter or color. The number and width of classes are user-defined and can be changed at any time.

WinRHIZO displays the analysis on the image. The color used to draw the root skeleton indicates the diameter class the root section has been classified into. The same color is used to draw the root distribution graph on the image.

The measurement data of the sample under analysis are summarized on the screen and are available in detail in data files.

The Arabidopsis version can analyze more than one root system per image. It is optimized for analyzing young seedlings.

WinRHIZO is a member of a family of related products sold by Regent Instruments for plant science research. Other products include WinFOLIA and WinSEEDLE for leaf analysis and WinDENDRO for tree-ring analysis. All of these products run on Windows PCs (7 to 10).
