ActiveWidgets is a powerful library of Javascript components that makes developing web applications (especially AJAX-style applications) much easier and more productive.

ActiveWidgets provides a set of visual elements (such as datagrid, guides, trees, combos) sharing a professional and simple programming model.

The editable datagrid control can display fixed headers and footers, also allows multiple fixed columns on the right or left, loading data from XML, CSV or Javascript code.

It also has several navigation template selections, with standard CSS styling – basically, with more complex features than many of the .NET or Java frameworks and can still be very agile in moving hundreds of thousands of records (virtual representation) – all of this in HTML format.

The library also includes a set of standard form elements—guides, tree view, lists, checklists, combo boxes, text boxes, buttons, and more. ActiveWidgets 2.5 works in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Google Chrome.
