WinCAM NDVI is a color-based area meter.

WinCAM NDVI uses image analysis to quantify areas of different colors that fall into groups you specify. It has a wide variety of applications. For example, it can measure diseased areas on fruits, leaves, flowers, or any other material with minimal color contrast. Quantifying ground cover (vegetation) is another analysis that can be performed. WinCAM NDVI is very sensitive and can detect very small color differences. Its interactive design makes it easy to use.

WinCAM NDVI can also measure known vegetation indices and allows you to define your own.

WinCAM NDVI can calculate six spectral vegetation indices frequently used in agriculture and forestry (NDVI, ENDVI, EVI2, MSAVI, WDRVI, chlorophyll green) and can also establish their property by combining spectral channels from regular or multispectral color cameras (NDVI). The green index is one example. They are used to quantify plant health and vigor. They can quantify vegetation cover or overstory cover (from images taken below the canopy pointing up or above the canopy pointing down). Their applications are numerous and range from agricultural assessment, vegetative inventory, crop drought monitoring, and fire risk assessment. These data complement or can be correlated well with the LAI (leaf area index) data produced by our WinSCANOPY product.

WinCAM NDVI is also a morphology analyzer and object classifier (Pro version).

It can measure the morphology of objects, such as area, length, width (and more), using various methods. It also measures their area based on color, color aggregation, and can classify them based on various criteria: color dominance, color proportion, spectral or vegetation index (NDVI, ENDVI, EVI, Greenery).

WinCAM NDVI is also a profileometer.

It can be used to record and analyze light intensities or color variations along interactively drawn paths on the image. This tool also allows you to manually measure the length and diameter of any object (when automatic analysis is not possible).
